Session Feedback
A selection of comments from recent participants.
Robert Baines
Retired teacher, Sukhumvit
"I attended the Filing Workshop in June and came away with a system I actually understand. I had been putting off sorting my paperwork for two years. The session was low-key and the facilitator was patient with my questions. The printed templates made it much easier to start once I got home."

Susan Lim
Early retiree, Sathorn
"Genuinely useful. I was a little sceptical that a two-hour session could make much difference, but I left with a clear picture of what I was missing and a sensible starting list. I will probably come back for the Workshop once I have had a chance to act on what I learned."

David Thornton
Business owner, Thonglor
"My wife and I attended the Comprehensive Programme together. Three sessions over two weeks. By the end we had a system that covers documents from three countries, labelled clearly enough that our children would know where to look if they ever needed to. Worth every baht."

Mary Chan
Retired nurse, Asok
"Very clear and no pressure. Nobody tried to sell me anything. The Getting Started session was exactly what I needed — not overwhelming, and it gave me a realistic sense of the task ahead. The facilitator explained things at a good pace. I felt quite calm leaving."

Graham Wells
Semi-retired consultant, Silom
"The digital filing section of the Workshop was particularly useful for me. I had been storing scanned documents with useless file names for years. The naming convention approach they covered is simple but it has made a real difference to how quickly I can find things now. Good session overall."

Anne Parkes
Retired, Phrom Phong
"I had been putting this off for years because it felt so daunting. The Getting Started session broke it down into something manageable. Small group, friendly atmosphere, and I left actually looking forward to tackling my filing cabinet. That was not something I expected to feel."

How It Has Worked in Practice
Three brief case studies based on common participant situations. Names are representative.
Case Study · Getting Started Session
A Retiree With No System at All
The Situation
A recently retired woman living in Bangkok's Sukhumvit area had no idea where most of her important documents were. Pension statements, insurance paperwork, and residency documents were spread across three drawers and an email inbox she rarely used.
What Happened
She attended the Getting Started session and spent two hours learning which categories of documents mattered most, where they were typically stored, and the basics of a simple paper filing system. She left with a checklist specific to her situation.
The Outcome
Within three weeks she had located and organised the majority of her key documents using the checklist. She returned two months later for the Workshop to build a proper long-term system. "The first session told me where to start, which I did not know before," she said.
Case Study · Comprehensive Programme
A Couple With Documents in Two Countries
The Situation
A couple who had lived in Thailand for eleven years had retirement documents split between Bangkok and the UK. Pension statements, property documents, and financial records existed in both paper and digital forms across two countries, with no single system for any of it.
What Happened
They attended the Comprehensive Programme together over three half-day sessions. The programme covered their full document landscape, including how to handle records from different jurisdictions. A joint filing structure was built that both of them could use and navigate.
The Outcome
Three weeks after the programme they described having "a complete picture for the first time in years." A review reminder was scheduled for six months later. Their adult children were sent a brief written guide to the structure so they would know where to look if needed.
